The Tramlink layout has been designed to show off what you can do in small space and
also show the link BWWMRC has to Tramlink.
Stephen Parascandolo Sadly passed
away in a car crash in February 2007. Stephen was a member of BWWMRC for many
years & was tramway enthusiast, he proudly got a Croydon Tram named after him
on his 27th Birthday. 2535 has his name on both sides. Chairman of BWWMRC Greg
Marshall helped arrange tour around tramlink with TFL friends. We have loads
of leaflets and maps on show.
The control system uses a few MERG (Model Electronic Railway Group) kits. The Automatic Train Controller kit for the basic end to end shuttle. The Cab Select Relay Kit to add stopping at the central platform. The Dual Hector (Infra-red train detector) kit to increase the accuracy of stopping at the platform.
